Jo & Tom ~ Merriscout, Cotswolds wedding

Following Jo & Tom’s engagement shoot that I posted over 2 months ago (I’m terrible at this blogging thing…), here is their awesome WEDDING! I had been really nervous about shooting this day as it was the first wedding of the year for me after taking the winter months off, but what a wedding it was! And as expected Jo & Tom made it really easy for me. It was a glorious spring day and Merriscourt provided the most stunning backdrop. My favourite parts of the day include the beautiful singing during the ceremony, everyone’s reaction to Ashley the magician’s tricks (he’s the best one I’ve seen!!!) and the moment Charlie the emotional guest won the speech sweepstake (she won £250!!!!). Also can we just take a moment to appreciate how good Jo & Tom look! I wish we could keep reliving this day over and over again.

*Huge thanks to my favourite Brazilian (my awesome and hilarious friend Alline) for second shooting this wedding for me!

Ben & Yin ~ House party wedding, Ascot

This was one of the most eventful, heartfelt and hilarious weddings that I’ve ever shot. Ben & Yin are two incredibly creative people - they held their wedding at a gorgeous Airbnb mansion and designed and made almost everything themselves with some help from their friends and family. There were so many firsts at this wedding - I had my first bouncy castle experience, it was the first time the bride & groom have swapped clothes, the first time the first dance was this exact dance from Toy Story (it was ridiculously awesome), and also the first time a bride has fallen into the pool in her dress, hahaha. It’s hard to list everything that happened at this wedding, but they basically had the best house party and I had so much fun catching all the shenanigans on camera!

Rebecca & Mark ~ Hackney Town Hall & The Raw Duck, London wedding

LOVE ME A CITY WEDDING. Rebecca & Mark had the most unique and chic wedding in London. They got hitched at Hackney Town Hall in the morning, had lunch at the rather awesome Raw Duck, and held an afterparty at their gorgeous London townhouse. They even managed to turn one of the rooms into a dance area with light up floor! I’m also obsessed with the florals at this wedding (check out the huge floral wreath!!!!!!), all done by The Flower Appreciation Society. All these without mentioning how delightful these two are and how much me and my partner Mike enjoyed getting to know them a little and shooting their big day!

(Click here to check out their wedding video done by Mike - it’s pretty sweet.)

Katie & Chris ~ The Party Field wedding, Lewes

Okay I’ve been absolutely terrible at this blogging thing. Things have been a little crazy in the last few months, we came back from travelling after taking 9 months off and I was moving house (twice in 2 months!)…but I’m all settled into my new flat now and I’m excited to be sharing some of the weddings that I’ve shot in the two months of the year when I’ve been working!

First up is Katie and Chris’ awesome marquee wedding at The Party Field. It was the first wedding that I shot since coming home from travelling and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect start. It was one of the warmest days of the year, I got to play with Connor the cat during bridal prep (I LOVE HIM SOOOOOO MUCH), got to witness this utterly lovely couple get hitched and last but not least got to run around a field that overlooks the stunning South Downs, taking photos and drinking cold elderflower cordial. ‘twas a good day.
