Van life diaries

(This post is non-wedding related - if you're after some wedding posts please scroll down or choose from the side bar on your right.) some of you may have noticed I haven't been updating my website/work Instagram as much as I once did...and here is the reason why. Last November after I finished the wedding season Mike and I drove a camper van (that we had converted ourselves earlier in the year!!) to Morocco. We spent three months travelling through France, Spain, Portugal and Morocco.

Those really were some of the best months. Living in a van certainly wasn't easy- I couldn't shower everyday, there is nowhere to poo, we sometimes ran out of fresh water, there is so little space compared to a normal house. We got on each other's nerves due to spending too much time together. But the ups and the freedom were so, so good it's almost unreal. We woke up without a plan most days and did whatever we fancied. We met a lot of really awesome people, fell asleep listening to the waves, ate the most amazing tapas, revisited places that I hold close to my heart, experienced some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets from our bed, drank wine with new friends around our campfire, got lost in the medinas in Morocco, rode camels and sand boarded in the Sahara desert. Comfort and convenience became insignificant and unimportant, and I grew more in love with our little van every single day.

So here is my van life diaries. I hope it inspires you to pack your bags and go on an adventure.
